Hi, I’m Dr. Beth Motley, a board-certified Family Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine physician. I started Pear Down to bring the power of lifestyle change to more people.

During medical school, I explored what I thought was a “side interest” in nutrition and lifestyle—interning with Dr. John McDougall, Dr. Neal Barnard, Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn, and Dr. Ron Weiss. That interest became my calling.

For 10 years in primary care, I’ve helped patients reduce meds and reverse disease through lifestyle change. Some people call this extra work. To me, it’s the only way to practice medicine with integrity. Over time, even specialist physicians began referring their patients to me—proof that this approach works and fills a major gap in our healthcare system.

Here, I serve as a health coach—not your doctor. You’ll need to keep a PCP to monitor and adjust medications as needed.
